Alberto De Gattis is an Italian master luthier and founder of De Gattis Guitars, a boutique brand recognized for its uncompromising craftsmanship and tonal excellence. Since beginning his professional journey in 2011, he has steadily established himself within the high-end custom guitar world, reaching significant milestones and earning recognition at an international level.

His instruments represent a refined balance between traditional lutherie and contemporary innovation. With deep expertise in tonewoods, structural acoustics, and precision engineering, Alberto designs and builds guitars that are visually distinctive, ergonomically refined, and sonically powerful.

Over the years, his creations have been crafted for internationally renowned artists such as Steve Vai and Russell Crowe, reflecting the level of artistry and reliability that defines his work.

In addition to his activity as a luthier, Alberto has worked as a guitar tech for Steve Vai and for Federico Poggipollini, guitarist of Ligabue, gaining first-hand experience at the highest professional level of live performance and instrument management.

With academic backgrounds in Arts, Music, and Economics, as well as a Master’s degree in Sound Engineering, Alberto approaches lutherie as a discipline where art, science, and vision converge.
